Congratulations to all those students who took part in the recent SKPF Open Karate Championships. This was a big competition with a large number of Karateka entrants. The club took a small squad of determined students to compete in both Kata and Kumite.
All students from Garforth Shukokai Karate Club competed to the best of their ability, demonstrating an excellent attitude with respect for both fellow competitors and referees.
A special mention goes out to:
Caitlin Dobson who came 1st in Kumite
Tegan and Nikita Knott who came 1st in Team Kata
Eric Kong who came 3rd in Individual Kata (in this category there were 43 students competing)

Well done to all students who took part, this was a very big competition with over 45 different categories. The competitors were of a very high standard in both Kata and Kumite but once again Garforth Shukokai Karate Club came away triumphant, winning medals in all categories.
